Patio building is our favourite thing to do — and possibly what we're best at. Patios are the focal point of the backyard, and interlocking brick brings a warmth and detail that plain concrete just can't. Expansive or quaint, classic or contemporary — including brick coping and pool surrounds that make a pool area yours.
How we build a patio
We start with a conversation about use, size, layout, and style — then paint the actual footprint in your yard so you can see it before we build it.
Lawn, topsoil, and clay are removed and hauled away to make room for the full depth of the installation. Grades set the height of the new surface and account for slope and drainage.
Crushed limestone is installed and compacted into a solid foundation. Proper base work is what prevents settling and movement — it's why our patios last decades.
A thin layer of fine limestone or sand is levelled over the base, then the brick or slabs are laid carefully and cut to shape where required.
Polymeric sand is applied to the joints to lock everything in place and prevent weed growth. Then we clean up like we were never there.
A front walkway in interlocking brick adds a level of warmth and detail that regular concrete just can't provide — the first impression of your home, laid level and edged with garden.
